Thats a small sample of what Cunliffe can do. Like I said you are lucky to have him. No doubt a starter. With the team you have and the right people in place there is no reason your team should settle for next season. See you in the playoffs. I think you stumbled into something

I think a big reason Shea does not start is due to what he brings (rather, doesn’t bring) to the defensive side. It’s not as though Hernandez (or Denton for that matter) can handle the wing all by themselves. What I think we should be looking into is some very solid outside backs. Something like Dunivant and Waibel. That way, O’Brien/Salinas/Guerrero don’t have to worry about their defensive responsibilities as much, and can be more assertive going forward.

I have been secretly wondering for a while why Salinas is not a starter already. I don’t know why he’s being “groomed” as a Ronnie O’Brien sub especially now that Johnson seems to be settling in as a striker. I agree on Corrales returning to his DM spot. I mean for f*cks sake look at Jesse “offensive threat” Marsch tearing it up over with Chivas right now.

Ugliest Quakes game I watched this year, that’s for sure. San Jose looked out of their depth against a very good soccer club. I agree on Cunliffe, he seems to have a nose for the ball and an accurate shot, unlike Kamara and our other strikers. Start Cunliffe next match.
