Don’t forget

By: Melissa | March 19th, 2008

Don’t forget it’s almost tax time. I forgot and I’m a contractor so no EZ form for me. And to Quakes fans, don’t forget we take on the Charleston Battery tonight at 5:15. The stream will be here. If you are stuck at work and the corporate bastards block that site, try some of the ideas here.

On the news front, SSV has been following the story of former Quake, Chris Carrieri, who is retiring from soccer after seven years and almost as many clubs. The Cary News has a pretty cool interview with him thats a great read and sheds some insight into just how unstable life can be for a lot of these guys. On a similar note, Mike Munoz has a touching update on his blog where he vents some frustrations over trying out for three different clubs in I think almost as many months – all the while praising his girlfriend for her unwaivering support. Yeah, I’m a sucker for cute sh*t like this and I’m super into the whole players blogging thing. And thank god we send our US players to college first because most of these guys are great writers.

Watching the stream right now and was once again reminded what an ugly bastard Preston Burpo is. The mere sight of him gives me nightmares.

Other than that, your team is okey-dokey.

Um, Yeah. “Okey-dokey” sounds about right. Sigh.

The look shock and sad on Kamara’s face when he missed his dead easy shot on goal broke my heart.

Kamara looked happier scoring that second goal. Of course, I’ve had a few beers so everyone looks happier at the moment. Looks like a terrible night to be playing in Charleston.

Second half was great! Hope they bottle that and drink it before every game. Ok, that was a little gross.
