Carolina Wrap-up

And The Bay Soccer already has their match report up and Soccer Spin collected some nice post-match quotes from Yallop. I especially liked Yallop’s comments on Kamara: βHe’s still learning the game. He has all the attributes to play really well at this level. We just have to make sure we bring him along correctly and make sure we’re not putting too much pressure on him.β Dust… wind… dude, Kei. Remember that and you’ll be fine.
After sitting on this win for a few hours, I feel our turnaround moment came from Corrales. Our holding midfielder took an offensive stance and the rest of the team immediately followed suit. Man of the match for Ramiro hands down β also the fact that he lodged a goal and an assist isn’t bad. Here’s a video interpretation of our offense shutting down the Carolina defense and walking away with our first bit of silverware in 2008:
