I’ve always felt something is missing from my life

By: Melissa | January 31st, 2008

And thank god Pottery Barn Teen figured out what it is. They just introduced the Major League Soccer Bedding Collection! Wow, check it out, you can get your favorite team’s crest on a bed sheet or a pillow case or even a quilt. Oh wait… there’s no Earthquakes selection. F*ck that noise.

But they do have a giant 4 ft by 6 ft Brian Ching wall hanging for sale. Too bad he’s wearing a Houston Dynamo uniform. I suppose if I am really desperate, I can hand over $99 + tax + shipping, grab a blue (or black) marker, and just color in the shirt and shorts on the poster. Now I call that MLS culture jamming!

In for-realsies news, tickets for the games in San Luis Obispo go on sale tomorrow (as do the Chicago tix at the Oakland Coliseum). For the Crew and DC games, call (805) 756-5806 or go to the Cal Poly ticket office.

So did the transfer window just close? Did we sign anyone? No? Ok.

I don’t want anyone from soccer on my bed unless it’s Hope Solo.

I wonder if the new Women’s Professional Soccer league has a suggestion box…

Is anyone else concerned that we don’t have a full roster yet and our first game is in two weeks? Is the ghost of Jeff Baicher going to play up front?

At this point, I hope Eric Wynalda puts on an Earthquakes kit and plays for us again. Technically he *is* a veteran MLS goal scorer. Looks like camp opens on Monday and everyone who plays up front is pretty much straight out of college (except Gavin Glinton). Am I worried? Actually — you know, I think Baicher might be available.

That bedding is nice & all, but I have a hard enough time getting girls to come over as it is, I don’t need anything that will make them run screaming from my place as soon as they arrive!
