I can’t keep up
By: Melissa | February 3rd, 2008Here is the most up-to-date report on the Quakes’ schedule I can find. Hopefully nothing listed here will change too dramatically in the coming weeks…
Tuesday, February 5 - Monday, February 11: Training at The Home Depot Center in Carson, California
(hmmmm, is this because its pouring down with rain around here? I just got caught in a ginormous hail storm about an hour ago)
Tuesday, February 12 - Tuesday, February 19: Training in the Bay Area
(unknown location? lets hope the university’s new practice field is complete by then)
February 13: Earthquakes vs. Houston Dynamo at 6:30 p.m. at PAL Stadium in San Jose
(last time I checked, season ticket holders get into this game for free!)
February 16: Earthquakes vs. Houston Dynamo at 7:00 p.m. at Kezar Stadium in San Francisco
(when do tickets go on sale for this already? anyone know?)
Wednesday, February 20 - Sunday, February 24: MLS Central Coast Showcase, San Luis Obispo at Alex G. Spanos Stadium at Cal Poly
February 20: Earthquakes vs. San Luis Obispo (closed to the public)
February 22: Earthquakes vs. Columbus Crew at 7:00 p.m. PT
February 24: Earthquakes vs. D.C. United at 1:00 p.m. PT
(tickets for the Central Coast Showcase are available here)
Monday, February 25 - Wednesday, March 12: Training in the Bay Area
Thursday, March 13 - Sunday, March 23: Carolina Challenge Cup in Charleston, South Carolina at Blackbaud Stadium
March 15: Earthquakes vs. Toronto FC at 6:00 p.m. ET
March 19: Earthquakes vs. Battery at 8:15 p.m. ET
March 22: Earthquakes vs. Red Bulls at 8:15 p.m. ET
(sorry Dave, plane tickets are waaay too expensive for me to make this)
Monday, March 24 - Wednesday, April 2: Training in the Bay Area
Thursday, April 3: MLS regular season opening - Earthquakes vs. Los Angeles Galaxy at 7:30 p.m. at The Home Depot Center in Carson
(I plan to be in attendance for this… perhaps between now and then, I can figure out how to live blog from my phone?)
Saturday, April 12: Earthquakes vs. Chicago Fire at 1:30 p.m. at McAfee Coliseum in Oakland
(single tickets are available now – but I think only as part of a packaged deal that includes tickets to the Mexico v Australia game. I don’t see anywhere on sjearthquakes.com where one can buy Chicago tickets only… lame)

One last bit of news. Soccer Silicon Valley’s first meeting of the year is Saturday, March 1 from noon to 2:00 p.m. on the patio at the Britannia Arms in Downtown in San Jose. According to their email announcement, the meeting will focus mostly on introducing the community foundation and getting more people involved with it.
