Nick Garcia to San Jose?
By: Melissa | January 15th, 2008Ok… in Yallop we REALLY trust. The Kansas City Star is reporting we just traded our first round draft pick for the Wizards defender. I can’t shake the feeling that this deal is part of a bigger trade package that includes the Ruiz move to Los Angeles. Sure, Garcia will fill the gap left open by Goodson’s departure but Yallop was adamant before today we’ll use our pick to trade for a veteran striker. Now what are we going to do? Well, as pointed out on Laurie’s Galaxy blog, the Gals now have three Designated Players and some serious salary cap issues. How do they remedy that and how do we get appropriate compensation for trading our number one draft pick? Landon Donovan.
(Of course – I’m constantly wrong when it comes to these predictions so we’ll see but isn’t it odd that there’s not a press release yet?)

I totally agree. Garcia shouldn’t start looking at apartments by Buck Shaw yet…..Let it be Donavan.

Like Laurie, I’m off to go do real life stuff. I’ll check the news later and report back if anything happens during my absence.
Either way, keep crossing your fingers this situation will wind up benefitting the Quakes. IN YALLOP WE TRUST.

Doesn’t sound like Nick’s going anywhere. They must have been dead-set on replacing Goodson right away. I still think something is up….
