Season Tickets go on sale
By: Melissa | November 27th, 2007I am slowly but surely inching closer to the days when I can associate San Jose with more than just work-related trips to a co-location facility followed by In N Out (double double y’all!). Tomorrow, Quakes season tickets go on sale. But if you are one of the many people planning to buy season tickets, you already know this. My question is: when can I buy tickets to single games? I’m waay too lazy to commit to 17+ matches next year. And can I get individual tickets in the 1906/Ultras section?
Ok, beggars can’t be choosers. But for noncommittal people like myself, there is still a sliver of hope to nab some good seats for at least a game or two. The Quakes are offering a secure online area for season ticket holders to sell individual tickets for games they cannot attend. And for those of you out there who are filthy rich and looking for ridiculous ways to blow your fortune, a limited number of seats are available on the field starting at $2,550 for the entire season. I don’t think these seats include giving your opinions to the coaching staff during the games but maybe they’ll toss in a quick hello visit to the locker room afterwards.
I’m waiting to see if there are any more trades this week before adding to the myriad of comments and speculations over Monday’s moves. In the meantime, I’d like to add that The Frank & Co. seem to be putting themselves in a good position salary cap-wise very very early on in the off-season. There is still plenty of space to add more expensive seasoned players. Whether it’s intentional to perhaps leave room for some of the more stalwart Houston or other ex-SanHo stars to come back remains to be seen (yeah, I’ve been reading the bigsoccer threads too).

Completely OT, but you said on LA you wanted an Aussie or Kiwi in MLS? There is one, Duncan Oughton, who plays for the Crew. And is hilarious.

According to that, Grabavoy has a dog named Mr. Chewbacca, but, sadly, I can’t find the 2006 edition.

Oh wow! I swear I looked long and hard at the MLS rosters a few months ago and came up with zilch. Thanks for the heads up!
