Stadium Update

Yes, that’s a rendering of the new Quakes stadium that I at least haven’t seen yet. It comes courtesy of the San Jose Planning Department, by way of CenterLineSoccer.com. A public hearing at city hall on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. will be held to determine whether or not the Planning Department accepts the permit for the stadium. There was a community meeting in September for residents to voice concerns about the stadium. As such, the Earthquakes organization pulled plans to host concerts at the new stadium due to noise pollution. If all goes according to plan, the Director of the Planning Department will approve the permit and after a 2 week, successful appeal, the Earthquakes can finally start moving on building the stadium.

GO QUAKES!
