Joe Cannon blogs. Its very sweet and no, thats not the alcohol talking.

Ok, before I get into it, I have to report tickets to the Kezar game are on sale now. Here’s the link. Warning though, there’s a $6 service charge if you buy online and unless you pay extra for quick delivery, you’ll be waiting with the rest of us chumps at Will Call to get your ticket. Not the smoothest system so anticipate some clusterf*ckerage next Saturday.

The official Quakes’ site just added more content so you should spend a few minutes clicking around and checking it out. And we’ve got one more voice to add to the blogosphere because it looks like our very own goalkeeper will be writing regular updates. His first post thawed even my cold dead heart a little as he journaled his emotional trip from LA up to the South Bay and – err - back down to LA again. Simply put, his return to San Jose is more than just an off-season transfer. He writes:

I told myself if I ever got the chance to come home and play, it would not just be to win, but to help the longevity of the franchise by doing whatever I could. San Jose is a great place to live and I wanted to be a part of something special. This is no longer a job, but a mission to help us become one of the league’s best franchises.

And Cannon didn’t stop there. It seems he’s making sure his excitement and positivity rubs off onto the other players.

I have introduced myself to everyone and talked to several other players in depth. Everyone is excited to come and play here for so many different reasons. Whether it’s a new start or the first opportunity, we all have the same goal: to be more than just a competitive expansion team.

How cool is that? Its like Band of Brothers meets The Game of Their Lives (uh… yeah, you get the point). Garber should just hand us the MLS Cup right now. Why wait ’til November?

I do have one objection. Cannon writes: “I really didn’t do anything special for the Galaxy, prompting me to feel a little bit empty about my time there.” Oh no - I think many Galaxy fans (especially the ones who read The Offside) do NOT agree. Every post or comment I’ve read here regarding Cannon’s stint with the Gals has been nothing but positive. Is it me, or do you all think our Joe might be one of those “world-on-my-shoulders” type of guys?

Uh…Joe? You didn’t do much for the Galaxy? Are we reporting from an alternate universe or what?
