So I stopped by that CYSA Expo
By: Melissa | January 26th, 2008No, Seriously I did. On Saturday I went over there because A) it was free and B) it was only a few blocks from my house. A friend and I popped in for a bit before taking my dog to the the park and I wandered over to the Earthquakes booth where Ryan Cochrane and Kei Kamara were standing around looking a little bored. Since this was an opportunity I clearly could not pass up, I walked over there and, uh, this is the extent of our riveting conversation:
Me: I don’t really have anything for you guys to autograph
Them: Well, they gave us these things (point to a stack of papers with Earthquakes logos and “Back in ‘08” text, proceed to sign one)
Me: Are you enjoying this thing (i.e. the CYSA Expo)?
Them: Sarcastically laugh and say yes
Ryan quietly to Kei: We’re really close to San Francisco and there’s lots of stuff to do over there
(Aaaaannnnnd I took that to mean my little autograph session was over so I accepted my newly signed paper and wandered off.)
Sorry readers. I know that was a total let down. My friend and I spent a little extra time at the Expo laughing at the various vendors who had special cones for sale you put your balls on (shut up, its funny) and we raided the free dessert samples before leaving for the dog park. Oh and luckily my friend had her camera with her:

Ryan Cochrane. So hott right now. Ryan Cochrane.

Its a theoffside exclusive: Kamara’s number for the Quakes is 16.

Hey Kei, San Francisco is over there (pic taken at the dog park).
And while we were at the dog park, some dad took a dog leash and hooked it onto his tween daughter’s belt. She immediately yelled out, “I don’t want to be a doggie, I’m a human!” which, for us, was the source of endless laughter.
