Um… ew

Readers, I’d like for you to take a long hard look at the picture to the left and for f*cks sake, please tell me how anyone could possibly find that food item appealing. And, no, I cannot imagine a person with “the munchies” even remotely craving that abomination. In fact, when I searched the internet for a photo, I encountered a blog post entry describing it as “defecation and eroticism at the same time.”
So it looks to me like we’re gonna have another slow news week in the Yay while the Quakes prepare to p0wn during next week’s Carolina Challenge Cup. The only major story is from Dunord who says Roberto Mina signed with Argentina club Gimnasia so I think that kills the Quakes rumor (whew). In more personal news, the Kansas City Star has an interview with Nick Garcia and his wife Melinda about his trade to San Jose. It really highlights the stress and emotional toil a player and his family can go through. Wow, now I’m really pulling for these two to be settled and happy in San Jose.
So Laurie asked us MLS bloggers to submit preview posts for the upcoming season and I’m spending a bit of time mulling mine over. Honestly, I gotta say that when you are talking about an expansion team, there really isn’t much to preview. And when that expansion team doesn’t yet have a complete roster… Either way, I’d like to come up with something a little more insightful than what other people are writing about the new new Quakes – i.e. still no offense. Perhaps their performance at the Carolina tournament will determine if they are happy with who they’ve got in camp or if they decide to do another big trade.
Ok, Thinking aloud time is over. I think I’ll break from format this week and turn Song of the Week into Song of the Day. So here’s your song. Enjoy.

Waterboarding is ok, but forcing someone to eat one of those things would definitely be considered torture.
