Dear Paul Ward…

By: Sean | September 28th, 2008

Let me apologize for the other fans that choose to support the same team as I do, the San Jose Earthquakes. They seem to think that you are at fault for our team’s loss yesterday. You, sir, were not 1-9-2 on the road. You, sir, did not let Yuri Movsisyan look like Natasha Kai at a Yuri convention in Tokyo, scoring at will.

I never cease to be amazed by people’s knee-jerk reactions to blame the referee.

Self-criticism beats ref bashing 11 times out of 10.

Commenting on Mr. Ward’s ‘performance’ would be pointless. I wonder if he’s related to Hugh Dallas?

Refs suck. It’s their job to listen to us say they suck. If they don’t like it, there are plenty of jobs at McDonald’s.

Most Quakes fans don’t completely blame Ward’s performance for the loss. You act like our fans don’t understand the game. We know that the team’s performance was the #1 reason for the loss. But there is NO way you can say that the referee did not have an influence on this game. That was some of the worst refereeing I have ever seen…and I played high school soccer…thats saying something

Of course the referees had an influence on this game… they have an influence on every game.
