The first two legs of my triple-header today took place north of the border, with the soccer gods smiling on me on both occasions. First, I watched Toronto FC brush aside the Galaxy 2-0, and the local side (Portland Timbers) held on to win 1-0 at Montreal. A few notes from those games:
