If you listen closely, you can hear the emo girls cry
By: Melissa | March 18th, 2008Here are your Tuesday Earthquakes odds & ends to get you through the day.
* Last night, I had a fit of inspiration and wrote up my season preview for the club. Go check it out. I’m really happy with it.
* Jamil Walker is in training camp with the Quakes. Does this mean we might see the return of Fabrice Noel? I hope so.
* The Merc’s Elliot Almond was in on Monday’s conference call with MLS deputy commissioner Ivan Gazidis and reports that the Quakes’ biggest challenge will be team chemistry. I agree and would like to add that years ago, I was given the best advice on this topic – get insanely drunk with your co-workers.
* Quakes co-owner John Fisher might purchase AS Roma. So the next time you buy something shockingly bland from the Gap, you may be inadvertently paying Totti’s salary.
Ok, I think thats it. Big shout out to Sacha Kljestan who was blowing up all over the internets yesterday (here and here). I’d also like to add that I sat through The Curious Dr Humpp last night and this morning I’m still traumatized. Holy crap that was an awful movie.
A few days ago, I realized that I never gave the proper shout out to the Aussie U-23s after the Mexico friendly. Now that Mexico didn’t qualify, I leave you with one of my favorite bands from Australia. And if you listen closely, I think you can hear the emo girls cry.

That Earthquakes season preview you did is bad ass. Definitely a good read. Hopefully the SSV blog gives it a worthy mention…

Thanks! I really do think the team will get themselves together this season and make the playoffs.

Damn. Ashley Cole wishes he could write sh*t like that about Cheryll. Good luck to Mike out there.
