		<description>I keep meaning to respond to this and I keep forgetting to.  Just one of those months.  Hey, anyone going to that dinner thing in San Jose on Friday?  You should sneak some photos or something and post it up here.

I totally feel the Quakes gave up a bit early.  Maybe it was after Corrales got hurt or maybe it was another reason.  If they could&#039;ve kept that nine game streak momentum going, I bet they&#039;d be in the playoffs.  At least Shea Salinas finally lost THE FEAR and scored a goal.  Baby steps.</description>

		<description>I&#039;d say numbers 2 and 6 are off target. Yes, the officials suck, but there&#039;s no reason to think their suckiness affected the Quakes more than they affected other teams. And fighting spirit is a lot easier to spot when your team is good. The championship teams were famous for being better than the other teams. This year&#039;s team was famous for being an expansion team. Fighting spirit has nothing to do with it. And if it does, I&#039;d argue that the ability to comeback from a dead season to become legitimate playoff contenders showed plenty of fighting spirit.</description>
