For your consideration…
By: Melissa | May 23rd, 2008Kei Kamara’s goal! It’s time to win the Sierra Mist (whoosh) Goal of the Week.
Ok, so wordpress got updated last night and it appears I cannot embed MLS video right now. Just go here to watch the damn goal.
Annnnd don’t get on my case that he’s not ON the list yet. I say, it’s time to campaign to get him nominated. Then we can all vote and vote often.
Good job boys. Have a great Memorial Day Weekend, y’all.

Is it too much to ask for the Quakes to do a goal celebration like this:

Yeah, that little dance Kamara did after the goal was the same one Corrales did after his goal a few weeks back. I understand this scoring thing is new to the boys but if they keep it up, they are going to have to come up with a few variations on their celebrations. The chicken dance is a good start. The new guy (from Colorado) can be Gob.

Just for sheer audacity, I am still gonna go with Beckham’s. But Kei’s was pretty sweet and I do think it should have been at least nominated for GotW.

I am a Colorad Rapids fan. My hats off to your coaches for not playing John Cunliffe. He is the biggest scoring
threat and he is on your bench. During his College days he smoked Kei Kamara. You don’t even know what you have. Please keep him on the bench when you play the Rapids.Posted from

Ok, I watched that Chivas/Colorado game and Kei’s got some hefty competition. Every single goal from that one was booootiful.
Mulligan: I don’t know whether to laugh or cry from your comment.

Laugh — ’cause the Quakes beat Colorado quite handily even without Cunliffe.

Cry…..cause he is on the bench.

I feel a bit of both. The Quakes beat Colorado easily a few weeks ago and Cunliffe wasn’t playing, yet I do know he’s good from watching him with Chivas last year. The few times he was on with the goats, he did make an impact. But at the same time, he’s not quite with us? finding his feet? not all the marbles are in place here? during his time with the Quakes so far. I do hope he pulls it together and does awesome sh*t cause I’m a Johnny C fan.

Actually the coaches need to to pull it together and put him in as a starter; until then they won’t what they have. Look at the minutes played and goal production. Also, when you play the whole game you get the feel of your supporting teammates and it all comes together. Good luck !

After last night’s match, I don’t think we have much choice but to play Cunliffe. He has scored 1/7th of our goals this season.

He is a proven scorer. You are lucky to have him.
